Kelly is a prolific and internationally recognized artist. She has a robust following on facebook and her own website where she sells her paintings independently.
Our very own Greg Conley has been following her teachings for years, occasionally translating them into blog posts to share with all of you. She likes to push watercolors to the brink of what they can do and she does it with style. Some might say that achieving this effect would be easier with oils or acrylics but then where would be the challenge in that?
Her paintings take weeks or months to produce and they can be found in private collections, galleries and museums!
She loves to paint portraits, especially children. She is meticulous about creating a good likeness of her subject… She also excels at capturing their emotions. I am particularly fascinated by her self portraits as they are full of life. It would take a lot of self awareness and self analysis to create the myriad of ways in which she captures herself.
I don’t know about you, but I am a fan!
