For some color variation, add a light wash of Cobalt Violet Light to the bridge of the nose and to the edges of the ears. Adding Cobalt Blue near the highlights in the hair will create more interest in your watercolor portrait as well.

Take this time to adjust the values throughout the whole face, and darken the pupils and eyes to draw the focus to the portrait’s expression.
